we are going to take a good look at the latest DLC for Destiny 2 live fall let's go ahead and start off with the story the witness we are picking up where we left off last season the witness had tried to capture the traveler with the assist of Aramis So within the story without spoiling anything we are set off to a new planet to explore which is Neptune unfortunately calus and his Legion are heading to the same exact Direction once you land on Neptune eventually you are introduced to the cloud spreaders specifically two individuals Rohan and Nimbus I enjoyed listening to Rohan speak about the city and the people who live there yet when it came time to interact with Nimbus I was slightly displeased to hear his voice in his presence the character is sort of wonky and often I would quickly open up the menu and change around a few things to sort of distract my mind the voice acting is just so weird and what I mean about Surfer talk I mean radical dude like some sort of voice like that right it was just awful in my opinion and I was just not into this character at all maybe it was just me yet that's just how I felt the voice just sounded completely odd in my opinion now continuing on the whole story around the cloud starters when you do arrive they talk about how they know this situation a lot more than we would except we've battled the witness and everything else right so why would we not know more than these Cloud strikes so the next mission they end up changing everything and saying that they should trust us because we might know things more than they so it was just really odd and I did not really know how to feel about it and to wrap it all up we have to talk about the veil because this was introduced and it was quite confusing there's really no spoilers because I honestly cannot tell you what it is and they don't really explain it so you're just left wondering okay this thing's important to these people so why should I care and you really cannot find a reason because you don't know what it is and what it does there's just no explanation behind certain things some of the writing it feels sort of pushed to some extent maybe forced would be the right word I just felt really off on everything it just didn't make sense a lot of the time and if you are curious on how long it does take to beat Destiny 2 light bulb it's honestly not long it's pretty short I'd say you could probably beat this within two to three hours maybe just maybe four to six if you are attempting to do this on the legendary difficulty moving on let's now talk about the Strand The Strand we can overcome the impact the Strand is one of my most favorite abilities to use in Destiny 2 there is a lot you can do with this ability such as swinging around as if you were Spider-man you can attach your strand to a guardian Sparrow or to a guardian there are these orbs that you can generate and you can latch onto them on the ground as well as they are in the sky that you can grab now on the other
hand if you're playing as a warlock it will be completely different for example I have the woven needle right here this is really nice it sends out these little shards that eventually turns the enemy into one of those green orbs that I can pick up which is I guess a strand orb and even then once you have unlocked it you then need to collect strand meditations and that's another type of grind there and it's just gonna be a complete pain especially if you want to expand on different characters so yeah if you were expecting something different there in order to acquire the ability early it's not going to be possible you do have to progress a little bit further on and complete the whole thing again I would personally love to have seen an option there where I could have just progressed forward and my other characters have I guess technically completed the campaign this would absolutely be phenomenal if they would add something like that yet the fact that they did not is honestly amiss in my opinion because a lot of you out there probably do not want to go on your Titan or Hunter warlock whichever is not your main you probably do not want to hop onto it and then go progress a bunch through the campaign going through every single Mission and then finally reaching the end grabbing all these strand meditations then applying that to it so you can then have the aspects it's just a it's just quite a lot of work right it's a lot that you're going to have to do in order to grab these abilities again and again I just would have loved to see an option there that would allow us to complete the campaign quick for our alternate characters Neptune / Environment overall Neptune is quite large compared to other Maps I'm gonna say that this is probably similar to the moon size uh as far as exploration and how far you can travel on the map I think it might just be a little bit bigger than that as for the environment itself there are some rocky roads and you look up to the sky and the buildings it's pink Blues very beautiful and I think that they did a great job on this I honestly don't have any complaints when it comes to the map I actually prefer this more than the moon and I think you guys can probably agree on that so as for other Explorations you can go over towards the farm which was nice to relive some good moments especially if you've been playing this game since the beginning if you were able to do any of the Exotic missions Down Below in the basement there where you were able to receive the outbreak that is some good flashbacks some good memories honestly just traveling and traversing through the farm was just nice it was great I think this was great for a lot of you out there too because it was again it was a flashback it's it's good memories for you to go back on and enjoy and talk about with your friends I I'm honestly surprised that there was not much done in this location there's no hidden objects no hidden stuff at all so I guess maybe that's a Miss there I will say without ruining anything within the storyline there is one thing that is done here but that's just about it as for the rest of the exploration you can hop on top of the other buildings just like you would have been able to do in the past so yeah pretty enjoyable I think they did a great job on the environment and now last but not least we are going to be talking about whether or not this is worth it Is It Worth Buying? um this calls for a toast does it not this is quite tricky to answer because if you are a new player AKA a quote blueberry in quote then you might want to hold off on this the reason why the reason why I say this because if you're not totally invested into the game and you've not purchased the prior DLC then you might not want to buy this speaking of Prior DLC did you guys know that if you have purchased wish Queen and then you load up lightfall you might end up experiencing some spoilers because they did not block out anything or change the cutscenes or somehow stop it from revealing itself it's absolutely mapping but it happened a lot of players are upset about it but these things happen right now on the other hand let's say that you have invested your time your money and everything above if you have checked all those boxes then yeah absolutely you will want to purchase this expansion the only issue I could see you coming across is you might see that the whole explanation behind the veil or certain things is pretty dull it's not explained well the characters are sometimes iffy at least one of them is and overall it is fun it absolutely is there's nothing wrong with the content itself except certain things like that I know that if you have not paid attention to the lore this is going to be a big No-No for you because you're just gonna be like well what's the purpose of this all so that's another thing I do think if you're just invested into the game completely you've read the lore you've done everything you possibly can do in the game then yeah you're going to love everything about this content you're not going to dislike a single thing about it I just think that there's average players I guess that play this game or some players that are just not totally invest into it but they do want to learn about the story yeah they might not enjoy this at all because of the fact that certain things are not explained well and that has happened in the past Bungie has completely ruined it in a sense for new players to join this game because the way things are explained at the beginning and as I've mentioned before if you've purchased witch Queen and then you've purchased life Hall delightful uh cut screens are going to spoil a lot of stuff so that's something to keep an eye out for other than that.
